I never grew up hiking…
It’s true.
I didn’t start embracing nature until I was 18.
Mountain Enthusiast. Adventure Seeker. Outdoors Fanatic. Those are a few words I would use to describe myself. It hasn’t always been that way though. I never used to be one to go camping in a tent, do a 27 km hike or even pee in the woods. I never grew such a deep love for Nature & The Great Outdoors until recent years. Living in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Rocky Mountains are right in our backyard (Not literally, about 4 hours away to be exact), and honestly, I’m not sure why I didn’t utilize the beauty Canada has to offer a lot earlier than I did…
I’m 25 years old and loving the life I live. I love hiking, camping, kayaking, snowboarding and anything involving the outdoors! I graduated high-school in 2015 and since then I've been a hostess, server, sales associate, key-holder, receptionist and student; all of those have made me realize that I just cannot be held down for one thing — maybe that’s why I constantly chase adventures. No adventure is ever the same. I was enrolled at NAIT in their Captioning And Court Reporting program, but after taking it for a year, I came to realize that it wasn't for me for multiple reasons. I live with my Fiance of 7+ years, who is a Journeyman Scaffolder. He is my travel buddy, personal photographer and the pusher of my limits. He introduced me to all the possibilities and extremes that Nature has to offer, and I can’t thank him enough for that.
This blog will feature all my adventures - from hikes to sight seeing, to facts, places to eat and places to see. I can't wait to share my experiences from sea level to the top of a mountain. Thank-you for following along!
